Of course, the answer to this question depends on what time of the year it is and your individual comfort levels. In winter months the average temperature setting is 70°, in summer 65° is around the average setting. Remember, when leaving your home for work or several hours don’t try to apply very drastic temperature changes. Do not set your temperature back any more than 5° since this will cause common systems to work harder to achieve the desired temperature setting.

Having a system that is too large may make your home uncomfortable, and in some cases, it might cause moisture issues.
